A few weeks ago we participated at the CEV Barcelona Game Contest and we won the Jury Award. The jury was constituted by Ariadna Castells from Ubisoft Barcelona, Kevin Cerdà from Tequila Works, Diego Ruiz from Supercell, Ibai Jurado from Social Point and Eric Verdalet from A Crowd of Monsters. It was great to win, not only because 4 of the 5 members of the jury bet for Northern Lights to be recognised as the Best Game of the competition, but also because it was important to us to read expert opinions about the strengths and weaknesses of the prototype in order to improve the game. The prize of the contest was ticket to the Madrid Games Week 2015 and having our own stand on the MadeinSpain Games indie zone.

We worked a lot in both Northern Lights and Flower Runner projects to have the best versions to show in Madrid. We optimized the Northern Lights prototype performance and improved some visual effects and animations. We also established some goals and game design in order to have an entire story and gameplay structure beyond the prototype. Moreover, we designed some merchandising products and some more surprises. Regarding Flower Runner, it is in a very early stage of development but we have already implemented some cool features like new animations and better level designs.

In conclusion: we had a lot of new stuff to show and we were be very happy to meet you all in our stand at the #MispZone of Madrid Games Week! So... we travelled to Madrid!

When we first arrive at the stand, we couldn't believe that we had a 1m x 1m banner with Persimmó and Drupelet printed on it! It was very exciting to mount and decorate our space! Then, people started to come and stand in front of us. Some of them just passed by but some of them were attracted to Northern Lights and wanted to play instead. With every day, the amount of people playing Northern Lights increased a lot.

Four days later, after meeting lots of great people: gamers, developers, organizers, we realized that we had been testing Northern Lights with a lot of people of every age, gender and tastes. More and more feedback was given to us and we have gathered a lot of opinions, suggestions, ideas and bugs (╥﹏╥) and positive attitude o(≧∇≦o) that will helps us developing the project. This is incredibly amazing as we know now more accurately what Northern Lights has to be. Thank you a lot!

Finally, we would like to specially thank to all the people who bet heavily on us by contributing in our nice and greedy Pigstarter. We hope you liked the badges. (We will send you the OST very soon!)

More awesome contents to come very soon.

See you!
